What We Offer You at SWISS KRONO
In the long term, the only way to satisfy customers is with committed, well-qualified staff who are passionate about their work. We understand this and therefore make every effort to help keep every single SWISS KRONO employee enthusiastic about the company, its products, and their job. We naturally also pay them salaries that reflect their performance.
We foster and challenge every single member of our workforce, while at the same time stressing successful teamwork. Our goal is for every staff member to love our products and identify with the company. We stimulate them with interesting, varied tasks within the context of an internationally active corporate group in which every ambitious individual finds opportunities for development and advancement. We emphasise respectful conduct and a spirit of partnership at work, as well as the will and desire to keep improving our wood-based products.
Especially at our site in Heiligengrabe, Germany, we attach enormous importance to job security. Solid training for young people is one way we contribute, as well as the many opportunities we offer our seasoned staff to benefit from continuing employee education. Specialised qualifications and training, exams and certification for technicians up to master level, university studies – we provide a wide range of further training possibilities across all areas.
SWISS KRONO naturally also goes to great lengths to promote health and safety. To prevent work-related accidents and illnesses, we minimise occupational risks for our staff. In this context, in 2015 we held the first SWISS KRONO Safety Days, which lasted two days and turned the spotlight on all facets of safety, health and accident prevention at work. The chief prerequisites here are professional gear and equipment, technical competence, and collegial conduct. All of our workplaces and work processes are naturally also designed to help prevent accidents and health risks.
To promote a team spirit, we organise frequent events for our staff. These include indoor football championships, participation in the F2Run corporate footrace, volleyball tournaments, and special activities that individual departments engage in twice a year. We’re pleased when we see that our staff also get along well while off work, as this supports effective collaboration on the job. For those who prefer to get exercise elsewhere, we’re glad to help them take lessons in a gym.
We want our staff to enjoy going to work. A prerequisite for this is a healthy work-life balance, with enough time to devote to family and personal interests. To support this, we are happy to offer them flexible working hours. Flexi-time or shift work can be arranged as appropriate to suit individual needs and preferences. Part-time work is also an option. Apart from this, we clearly and completely capture all hours worked. For special occasions, we also like to organise parties and festivities. For example, every year we hold a delightful Christmas party for our employees’ children.
